Is RosterOS a workout app for my clients?

No. RosterOS is a tool for the trainer. Clients don't sign in, don't install anything, and don't get pushed any notifications. Programs and notes live with you.

Yes. iPad is supported and the layout adapts. RosterOS is iPhone-first, so if you only ever use it on one device, an iPhone is the better fit.

Do I need an account?

Yes. An account lets RosterOS sync across your devices and recover your roster if your phone is lost or replaced. Sign in with Apple is supported, or you can create an email + password account.

Do my clients need an account?

No. There's no client-side login. Clients are records you manage; they never log in to RosterOS.

Can I import my existing roster?

Yes. When you add a client, tap Import from Contacts to pull from your iPhone Contacts. You can also add clients manually with name, email, phone, fitness level, goals, and injuries.

What permissions does RosterOS ask for?

RosterOS requests Calendar access (so Calendar Sync can mirror your sessions), Camera and Photo Library (for progress photos), and Contacts (only when you tap Import from Contacts). You can grant or revoke each one independently from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

Yes. The app keeps a local database so you can log notes and payments on the gym floor without signal. Changes sync to your account when you're back online.

Can I book recurring sessions?

Yes. When booking a session you can choose Once, Weekly × 4, × 8, × 12, or × 26. This is useful for blocking out an 8-week training block in a single action.

How does Calendar Sync work?

Calendar Sync is a one-way mirror from RosterOS to your iPhone's Calendar app, scoped to a single calendar of your choice. Sessions you create, reschedule, or cancel in RosterOS update there. RosterOS doesn't read your other calendar events.

How does Quick Log decide what to suggest?

Quick Log detects a session that just finished (within the last hour) and offers the four follow-up actions you're most likely to do next: log a payment, add a session note, log a measurement, take a progress photo. If no recent session is detected, those same four actions are still available for any client.

Can I export my data?

Yes. From Settings → Data you can export your records. The export is intended for your own backup or migration; you don't need to ask.

Yes. The free tier supports up to 3 clients forever. It includes sessions, Quick Log, follow-ups, and Calendar Sync for those clients, the whole flow, capped at three people so you can try it end to end.

Yes. New accounts get 14 days of RosterOS Pro free. Cancel before day 14 and you're not charged.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → RosterOS, then tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Sign in to RosterOS with the same account, open the paywall, and tap Restore purchases. RosterOS re-checks your Apple ID for an active subscription and unlocks Pro.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are handled by Apple per their App Store policy. Use reportaproblem.apple.com to request one. RosterOS does not bill you directly and does not process refunds.

Where is my data stored?

Client records, sessions, payments, notes, and photos are stored in your RosterOS account using Supabase as the cloud database, with a local SQLite cache on each device for offline use.

No. RosterOS does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of services we do use (e.g. Sentry for anonymized crash reports).

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. RosterOS removes your data from our servers within 30 days of the request, as stated in the Privacy Policy.

What iOS version does RosterOS need?

RosterOS requires iOS 16.0+ or newer. Older iPhones and iPads may not install the app from the App Store.
